When pain becomes part of your life, it can change more than your body.

Living with chronic pain asks you to navigate things other people may never see. It can be emotionally demanding and exhausting. You may feel angry, afraid and saddened by your experiences, or a sense of betrayal from your body. You could push through the discomfort until you depleted, struggle to slow down, or feel disconnected from your own needs.

Therapy offers a place to explore these experiences without judgment or pressure to maintain a positive attitude.

relationship

Your pain is real. By working together, we can find ways for you to care for yourself that honor both your needs and limitations. Our work focuses on supporting your emotional well-being, sense of agency, and quality of life alongside appropriate medical care.

What might change

  • Feel less at war with your body. Explore ways to relate to your body with greater curiosity and compassion.

  • Make space for grief without losing sight of possibilities. Acknowledge what pain has changed while discovering what remains meaningful.

  • Recognize your needs before you reach your limit. Develop greater awareness of your internal cues, emotional responses, and boundaries so you can make decisions with more care and flexibility.

  • Loosen the grip of guilt and self-criticism. Explore your beliefs about productivity and worth that can make resting, asking for help, or changing plans feel difficult.

  • Reconnect with pleasure, creativity and meaning. Make room for experiences which nourish you beyond symptom management, even when your capacity varies.

  • Feel more understood in relationships. Find language for your experience and consider how to communicate your needs without justification.

SPACE FOR YOUR WHOLE EXPERIENCE

Making room for what words can't always hold

My integrative approach creates space for the whole experience of living with chronic pain—not just the physical symptoms, but the emotions, identities, relationships, and questions that can accompany it.

Through creative processes, you might give shape to frustration, express grief, and explore the relationship you have with your body, or even discover resources that help you feel more connected to yourself.

We may also explore gentle body awareness, mindfulness, and other individualized practices, always adapting to your comfort, needs, and energy.

You don't need to be an artist and you don't need to push through discomfort to participate. Your experience sets the pace.

Your life is still yours to inhabit
